Sales Policy

PRICE CHANGES: We reserve the right to adjust prices when required due to manufacturing costs. Historically pricing has been adjusted once a year. The next change is scheduled for February 2, 2008. Typographical errors are subject to correction.

RoHS: The RoHS directive stands for "Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing higher than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. The RoHS directive is effective as of July 1, 2006. It is designed to protect human life as well as nature and wildlife.

Budwig Company Inc. is fully committed to reducing the environmental impact of our products and totally supports the efforts of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive 2002/95/EC commonly referred to as RoHS.

Customers who require RoHS compliant parts should communicate this clearly on all verbal and written communication when requesting product specifications, pricing, product availability and must communicate it in writing at the time of order placement. Please DO NOT rely on mailed (posted) purchase order acknowledgements to communicate important order requirements as product is often shipped before hard copy documentation reaches and is processed by Budwig Company Inc.

SPECIAL ORDER OPTIONS: Consult sales department for lead times on items classified as special order. Special order items are non-returnable except in case of defective quality. Products are available in optional colors. Custom color matching is available at a charge of $175.00 per color match. Custom color orders (any color other than our stock colors of black or gray) require a minimum purchase of $150.00 plus a $40.00 custom color charge per each purchase order number. (Custom color charge of $40.00 is waived on first time special orders, when customer is billed for custom color match charge of $175.00) The standard material hardness for our TPR feet products is 87 Shore A hardness (87A). We offer optional grades of material hardness, i.e. 64A, 73A, 50D. Orders for other than 87 Shore A hardness require a minimum order of $150.00 with no additional charges.

WARRANTY: Any product that does not meet your satisfaction due to defect in materials or workmanship may be returned for full credit.

RETURNS: Any product purchased directly from Budwig Company, Inc. (except special orders) may be returned for any reason if Budwig is notified within 180 days of invoice date and receives the returned product within 15 days of notification. For any product return please notify Budwig Co. at (858) 513-4646 to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. Please have your original purchase order number, date and Budwig Invoice Number available when calling. To ensure that your return is processed without delay, display the RA number on or with the shipping label and on any other correspondence accompanying the return shipment. All Budwig products purchased from our distributors must be returned to them, based on their return policy.

For returns due to customer error, excess stock, discontinued use, etc., customer will be assessed a Restocking Charge of 10% of the original invoice value ($10.00 minimum charge). Any returns made after 180 days will be done solely at the discretion of Budwig Co. Returns that are accepted after 180 days will be assessed a Restocking Charge of 20% of the original invoice value ($20.00 minimum charge). When applicable, original quantity pricing will be adjusted to lesser quantity pricing based on the revised total quantity purchased. All returned products are subject to our inspection and acceptance before returning to stock and issuing a refund or credit. Damaged or dirty parts may be rejected, charged at purchase price and deducted from refund or credit. Customer is responsible for all freight except in instances of Budwig error or defective parts.

Defective products may be returned at any time without exception. In case of defective product, after examining the returned parts, Budwig will replace the product and ship to customer at no charge. For products returned due to Budwig error, return all shipments via UPS Ground Service - Freight Collect, unless otherwise specified. We will ship correct parts when notified of error and replacement shipment will be invoiced. When the incorrect parts are returned, a full refund will be issued upon receipt of parts received in original condition.
